Her roles with theΒ Royal Shakespeare CompanyΒ included Nurse inΒ Romeo and Juliet, Gertrude inΒ HamletΒ andΒ BeatriceΒ inΒ Much Ado About Nothing. In 1978, she won theΒ Olivier AwardΒ forΒ Best Supporting ActressΒ forΒ Arnold Wesker'sΒ Love Letters on Blue Paper.
